Res Publica | Rome Sundays #0: Introduction

Hello everyone! I am marigold, the owner of Res Publica, which you can find here: https://untitled-sandbox.com/clubs/102. It is a group heavily inspired by empires called the "Golden Ages" in history, notably Rome and Ancient Greece. As a way of advertising the group and for my own interest, I am starting a series called Rome Sundays. On these days, I will be talking about the history of Rome in order to educate all those interested and share my thoughts with fellow enthusiasts. Treat the first post more as an introduction! I will be talking in this post about what this series is, how it will be structured, and what eras will be covered. So, let's talk about it. What will these posts cover, and what will YOU be getting from them? In these posts, I will be trying my best to explain concepts that were present during different eras of Rome. While I won't be going too in-depth, I will be providing you with all the resources you may need to explore the subjects yourself. My job will be to make you interested in learning about it, and you can return the favor by sharing your thoughts with me. Each one of these posts will be structured this way: 1. Introduction to the concept and a basic overview. 2. The history of it: how it was established and, if abolished later, why. 3. What the concept was used for and how it benefited/hindered Rome. 4. Additional resources you can use to learn more about the topic. In these posts, you will see the following eras covered: the Kingdom, Republic, Principate, Late Empire, and Eastern Roman Empire eras. I look forward to your support for this series and ask kindly that you check out my group. :)
